Queensland Lively Ladies Take Champion Team
Interstate Teams Dominate Tournament
The interstate teams dominated the tournament this year with the Lively Ladies, Jodie, Jude and Barbara from QLD taking champion team. Local ladies and veteran Reel Women team Shemanos were hot on their tails and took the title Champion Independent Team. You go girls! Sue Austin from the Victorian team Wombat Wenches fished hard and was Champion Angler. I can still hear her screaming. (or whatever it is that Wombats do when they are excited)
A few wombats were missing in action in 2008 and the cane toad muster at 2am certainly added to the excitement of this year’s event. Memories, memories of the way we were.
