THE YEAR OF THE BUGS!
Once every seven years the Cotton Seed bug hatches and in 2009 millions of them hatched at Dundee Beach. Bug bugs bugs everywhere!
We welcomed a new Victorian team in 2009, the Police Officers made up of Fiona, Amanda and Danni. All three ladies were barra virgins and this was their first adventure to the Northern Territory. With Greg Miller as their skipper, the girls learned how to us a bait caster and tie a lure to a leader and got right into the spirit of Reel Women and were the Champion Team. Danni was also Champion Angler.
Top End girls Cate and Mel are an independent team called the Vic River Pirates. These two know how to party but they also know a thing or two about fishing. The pirates were our Champion Independent Team.
Cate landed a very nice 87cm saltwater barramundi which added nicely to their tally and also gave her the trophy for Longest Barramundi.
